Taylor Swift gifted USD 600 to each employee working at Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs game on Christmas Day, December 25. The singer was present to support her boyfriend, Kelce, as his team played at Arrowhead Stadium. This act of generosity was shared by one of the recipients on social media, highlighting Swift and Kelce's efforts to spread holiday cheer.
Swift reportedly cheered on the employees and workers who had to work on the holiday. She gave each of them USD 600, which equates to approximately Rs 53,961.
A social media post by an employee named Robyn Gentry went viral after she shared her experience. Gentry reported that both Kelce and Swift were seen running around the stadium after the game. They were seen going up to everyone and wishing them happy holidays and trying to spread the cheer.
"My mind just froze. Of course I said Merry Christmas and thank you so much. Travis and her were smiling so big and just kept saying merry Christmas, thank you for working Christmas, but then they were gone, and I stopped to look at what was in my hand…. $600."
Gentry also shared photos of the cash she received. She mentioned framing one of the notes Swift gifted her as a cherished memory.
The employee expressed her gratitude for the money during the holiday season. She stated that the moment Swift handed her the cash, she "immediately started crying."
"I wanted to share the story with people who will appreciate it with me. Taylor and Travis are beautifully kind people. Its very true, incredible, and very kind people."
