Giants co-owner Steve Tisch under review after emails with Jeffrey Epstein surface
New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch is under scrutiny after emails with Jeffrey Epstein appeared in newly released Justice Department documents. Tisch said the contact was brief and limited to discussions about adult women, movies, and philanthropy. The NFL confirmed it will review the matter as attention grows around names linked to Epstein’s communications.
New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch is facing scrutiny after emails between him and Jeffrey Epstein appeared in a large batch of documents released by the Justice Department.

The messages, mostly from 2013, show Epstein discussing introductions between Tisch and several women. The names of the women and Tisch’s email address were removed in the public release. Some emails also include casual talk about movies, business, and other topics.

Tisch responded through a team statement on Friday and said his contact with Epstein was brief and limited.

“We had a brief association where we exchanged emails about adult women, and in addition, we discussed movies, philanthropy, and investments. I did not take him up on any of his invitations and never went to his island,” Tisch said.

The NFL addressed the situation on Monday and confirmed it will review the matter.

“Our office will look into the matter to understand the facts,” the league said.

The emails came years after Epstein had already been convicted in 2008 for crimes involving a minor. In some exchanges, Epstein talks to Tisch about women he could introduce him to and shares details about them. Other messages show plans to meet at events, including Giants games, and invitations from Epstein to visit his private island, which Tisch says he never did.

There is also a later email from 2017 where Tisch tells Epstein he had spoken positively about him to a friend and wanted to stay in contact. Epstein was later arrested in 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges and died in jail while awaiting trial.

A search of the document archive shows Tisch’s name appearing hundreds of times, though many are repeated threads or calendar notes. Tisch has been Giants chairman since 2005 and is also known for his long career as a Hollywood producer, with several major films to his credit.

For now, the league’s review is ongoing as more attention is drawn to the released documents and the names connected to them.
