The Golden State Valkyries beat the Dallas Wings 90-81, ending Paige Bueckers’ 30-game double-digit scoring streak. Bueckers had nine points and nine assists. Golden State set a franchise record with 16 three-pointers, led by Veronica Burton’s 25 points. Despite five Wings scoring in double figures, Dallas dropped its 10th game in 11, while the Valkyries stayed playoff-relevant.
The Golden State Valkyries secured a 90-81 victory over the Dallas Wings on Sunday night at College Park Center, snapping Paige Bueckers’ remarkable streak of 30 straight double-digit scoring games and ending one of the most impressive rookie scoring streaks in WNBA history.

Wings guard Paige Bueckers was limited to just nine points, marking the first time in her WNBA career she failed to reach double digits. The former UConn guard is only the third player in league history, after Candace Parker and A’ja Wilson, to record one of the longest double-digit scoring streaks as a rookie. Her consistency on offense has been one of the few bright spots in an otherwise difficult season for Dallas.

The Golden State Valkyries, converting 16 three-pointers in a game, set a new franchise record. Veronica Burton led the team with 25 points and 13 assists, earning her fourth double-double of the season in a standout performance. Iliana Rupert and Kaila Charles reached their career bests by scoring 17 and 16 points, respectively, while Kate Martin contributed to the win by scoring 12 points, four of them being three-pointers.

Despite falling short, the Wings demonstrated depth in their lineup, with five of their players scoring in double digits. Maddy Siegrist led the scoresheet with 16 points, while Haley Jones and Myisha Hines-Allen put up 15 each. Amy Okonkwo made her second WNBA appearance, contributing 12 points and recording her career high, while Grace Berger added 11 points off the bench.

Bueckers, even with limited scoring, contributed nine assists, making her one of the most reliable rookies in the league. Though the streak has concluded, her rookie campaign continues to be one of the most impactful in recent memory.

The Wings have now lost 10 of their last 11 games and remain near the bottom of the standings, while this win keeps the Golden State Valkyries firmly in the playoff conversation.
