LSU Tigers Dominate Morgan State 92-33, Remain Undefeated With Five Players In Double Figures
Louisiana State University defeated Morgan State, restricting the team to just 33 points on Tuesday's game at Pete Maravich Assembly Center, Baton Rouge.
Around 9000 school children packed up the Assembly centre on Tuesday morning to witness the no. 5-ranked LSU dominated the Morgan State Bears during the program's annual field trip game.
LSU remains undefeated, picking up its 12th win, and it’s the 8th time this season LSU has won by 50 points or more.
The Tigers had five of their players score in double figures. Flau’Jae Johnson and Mikaylah Williams led the scoring for LSU by posting 14 points each.
Junior guard MiLaysia Fulwiley had 11points while Jada Richard and Grace Knox scored 10 points apiece.
This is the fourth time Morgan State has lost by 50 points or more this season, and with this loss, they have dropped to 1-12. Senior guard Ja’la Bannerman led the Bears in scoring with 8 points.
LSU burdened them with 14 steals, five of which came from the Ukrainian player Kate Koval. The Bears had 25 turnovers and struggled offensively by shooting just 11 of 44 attempts.
The LSU Tigers starting lineup scored 52 points combined while the rest 39 points came off the bench, displaying spectacular teamwork.
The LSU Tigers will host UT Arlington on Sunday, and Morgan State is set to play Davidson on Friday.
