Texas defeated UCLA 76-65 in the Players’ Era Championship in Las Vegas, with four Longhorns scoring in double digits. Rori Harmon led with 26 points and climbed to second on Texas’ all-time assists list. Madison Booker added 16 points, mostly in the first half. Texas dominated early, holding off a late UCLA surge, while Bruins’ Lauren Betts struggled with a post injury.
The No. 4-ranked Texas defeated No. 3-ranked UCLA 76-65 in the players' era championship at Las Vegas on Wednesday.

The undefeated Longhorns had four players scoring in double digits. Senior guard Rori Harmon posted 26 points, five assists, and three rebounds while junior forward Madison Booker scored 16 points, seven rebounds, and five assists for the Texas Longhorns. Booker scored most of her points in the first half of the game. Jordan Lee had 13 points, and coming off the bench, the sophomore forward Justice Carlton added 10 points.

Harmon climbs to the second spot in the Texas all-time assists list after recording 768 assists so far in her college career and needing only nine assists to surpass Kamie Ethridge.

The Longhorns dominated most of the game and led by 20 points at halftime before the Bruins reduced the lead to 4 points late in the fourth quarter.

UCLA was led by its senior guards Kiki Rice and Gianna Kneepkens, who scored 17 points apiece, with Rice contributing 6 rebounds and 3 assists, and Kneepkens chipping in 2 assists and 2 rebounds. Charlisse Leger Walker added 13 points.

The Longhorns faced trouble shooting from the three-point range as it went 0 for 4, but built a 10-point lead shooting 47.4 % from the three-point line after the first quarter. They forced seven turnovers on UCLA and converted them into 6 points in the first quarter.

During the second quarter, the Longhorns added another 10 points to the board and led by 20 points at halftime. Texas charged defensively on UCLA, which made it hard for the Bruins' offense to get going. Bruins centre Lauren Betts struggled to score as Texas double-teamed her in the post. She exited the game early in the third quarter after suffering an upper-body injury. Betts returned to the game after several minutes and finished with 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists.
