Super Bowl week turns Bay Area into nonstop hub of concerts, parties and stars
Super Bowl week transforms the Bay Area into a massive entertainment festival ahead of kickoff. From leadership forums and NFL Honors to sold-out concerts, celebrity parties and comedy shows, events run from February 4 through Sunday. Artists, athletes and fans fill San Francisco and nearby cities, making the championship a full cultural spectacle beyond football.
Super Bowl week is not just about football. It is also a full-blown mix of concerts, parties, celebrity appearances and fan events spread across the Bay Area in the days leading up to the big game.
The week begins on February 4 and builds slowly before peaking over the weekend. Players, musicians, comedians, executives and media personalities arrive early, turning San Francisco and nearby cities into nonstop event zones.
Wednesday is the opening day, which mainly focuseson leadership and media. One of the first major events is the Sports Power Brunch at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco. The invite-only gathering brings together women who are shaping the sports world, including coaches, broadcasters and executives. Becky Hammon, Maria Taylor and Elle Duncan are among the notable names expected to attend.
Thursday is the second day, which is a mix of official NFL programming and has many concerts taking place. Media events with the Super Bowl halftime and pregame performers happen earlier in the day, giving fans and reporters a chance to hear from artists like Bad Bunny, Charlie Puth, Brandi Carlile and Coco Jones. The night continues with the NFL Honors ceremony at the Palace of Fine Arts, hosted by Jon Hamm, followed by concerts across the city. Fall Out Boy plays a smaller, ticketed show, while Illenium opens one of the weekend’s biggest warehouse events tied to his new album.
Friday is one of the busiest days of the entire week. Multiple headlines take place at the same time across different venues. Shaquille O’Neal brings back Shaq’s Fun House at the Cow Palace, combining a carnival-style party with his DJ Diesel performance. Post Malone headlines a free Bud Light concert at Fort Mason for fans who win access through sweepstakes. Kehlani performs near Levi’s Stadium in San Jose, while Calvin Harris and Diplo take over Pier 80 Warehouse. Green Day and Counting Crows also perform at a celebrity-heavy party on the San Francisco waterfront. EA Sports adds to the chaos with the Madden Bowl at Chase Center, blending football, music and gaming.
Saturday is the peak of the celebrity scene. Dave Chappelle headlines a sold-out comedy show at Chase Center, making it one of the toughest tickets of the weekend. Sports Illustrated hosts its annual party at the Cow Palace, featuring DJ sets and high-profile guests. Wale, T-Pain, Sean Paul, Chris Stapleton and The Killers are among the artists performing across different venues throughout the night.
On Sunday, the focus shifts to fans and game-day experiences. Before kickoff, Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Tailgate offers food, music and sponsor events near the stadium. Premium parties like the Players Tailgate and On Location’s pregame events feature live performances, including a set by The Chainsmokers.
By the time kickoff arrives, Super Bowl week has already delivered days of music, entertainment and celebrity moments, turning the championship into a full cultural event rather than just a football game.
