UConn remained undefeated with a dominant 93–41 victory over Utah, powered by Azzi Fudd’s 24 points and strong contributions from Blanca Quinonez, Sarah Strong and Allie Ziebell. The Huskies controlled the game with stifling defense, capitalizing on turnovers and early Utah scoring struggles to build a massive halftime lead and extend their unbeaten run.
UConn remains the only undefeated team in the Hall of Fame Women’s showcase after it defeated Utah 93-41 in Sunday night’s game at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut.

The top-ranked Huskies had 4 players scoring in double figures on Sunday night. Last season’s MVP, Azzi Fudd, led the Huskies in scoring after posting 24 points, which included four three-point shots and a career high 8 rebounds.

“My mindset every game is just to be aggressive, take what the game gives, not force anything. I know what I’m capable of, and I’m just trying to be a great teammate every night.” Fudd said post-match.

Fudd also scored a season-high 31 points in the previous game against Michigan on Friday night.

Coming off the bench, freshman forward Blanca Quinonez scored 21points and grabbed 5 rebounds while Sarah Strong had 15 points, four rebounds, and four assists in her 20 minutes of playing time. Allie Ziebell, who played for 19 minutes, scored 10 points, one rebound, and one assist.

Coming into the game ranking top 25 in shooting 3 pointers per game, but we’re struggling offensively in Sunday night's game. In the first quarter of the game, Utah didn’t make a single two-point shot until Brooke Walker made a basket with 7:36 left on the clock. On the other hand, UConn's Fudd, Strong, and Quinonez scored 14 points combined, which helped the Huskies lead by 19 points.

During the second quarter, the Huskies shot only 36% from the field and still led by 44-19 at halftime. The Huskies' defence put pressure on the utes and forced three turnovers in the first few minutes of the game. In the first half, the Huskies scored 18 points off the other team's turnover.

Utah’s Senior guard Lani white scored 9 points while Brooke Walker added 8 points in the first meeting between UConn.

Utah plays Weber State on Wednesday at home, while UConn looks to continue its winning streak by defeating Xavier on Sunday.
