Dallas police seek public help after fatal stabbing on Preston Road
Dallas police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Monday afternoon on the 14400 block of Preston Road. Officers found a woman with multiple stab wounds, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released. Detective Yahir Perez is leading the case, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
A woman was found dead Monday afternoon after a reported stabbing in North Dallas, and police are asking the community to come forward with any information that could help solve the case.
According to a statement from the Dallas Police Department (DPD), officers responded to the 14400 block of Preston Road around 12:25 p.m. on November 10 after receiving reports of a stabbing.
When they arrived, they found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. Despite the quick response from Dallas Fire-Rescue, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not yet released the victim’s name, as the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office is still working to confirm her identity and notify her family.
The case has been assigned to Detective Yahir Perez (#10407), who is leading the investigation. Authorities said the case number is 161810-2025.

“I was shocked to see so many police cars here, It’s usually a quiet neighborhood.” one local resident told reporters near the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to gather evidence and review surveillance footage from nearby businesses.
