Texas teen missing since Christmas Eve believed in danger, sheriff says<br>
The authorities in Bexar County, Texas, have gone to great lengths, including declaring the missing woman in immediate danger, to find a 19-year-old girl who went missing on Christmas Eve.
TL;DR

Camila Mendoza Olmos, 19, was reported missing after she was last seen at her residence in the northwestern part of Bexar County on Christmas Eve. It is suspected by the police that she went out walking with very few things and no phone. The continuous search is being conducted by several agencies - local, state, and federal.

A Texas woman of 19 years, who vanished on Christmas Eve, is presumed to be in immediate danger; thus, a huge multiagency search operation has been organised by the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

As per the investigators, Camila Mendoza Olmos was spotted for the last time at her home in northwest Bexar County, very early Wednesday morning. Security video from the area provided by investigators shows what is believed to be Mendoza Olmos at about 7 a.m., looking inside her vehicle for an unidentified item. That vehicle was later found still parked at the residence, and authorities believe she left the area on foot.

The sheriff's office said Mendoza Olmos seemed to take only her car keys and possibly her license. She left her phone at home-a tremendous oddity, as far as investigators were concerned. The last known location of the woman is reported to be the 11000 block of Caspian Spring.

The Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar, as an informed source to ABC News, indicated that the search for the missing person was being carried out not only by the law enforcement agency but also by the volunteers with the help of the agencies since her disappearance. He also told the FBI was involved in the case as one of the agencies that, besides providing technical assistance, has been monitoring border crossings and international travel.

Salazar stated in an interview with ABC News, “We certainly want to make sure nothing gets overlooked.” Although the search on foot has been limited to a small area near her house, the investigators are not dismissing the scenario that the matter may involve Texas or even the continental United States.

All possibilities, including kidnapping and trafficking or even Mendoza Olmos voluntarily leaving, have not been ruled out yet. Though Salazar admitted that Mendoza Olmos recently went through a breakup, detectives described it as friendly and indicated that there is no crime in connection with it. Police claimed that the people around her are entirely supporting the inquiry.

The last attire that Mendoza Olmos wore consisted of a black and light blue HOODIE, light blue pyjama pants, and white sneakers, as confirmed by the sheriff’s department. Mendoza Olmos first claimed to her mother that she was going out for a morning walk. Since she did not come back on time, a missing persons case was filed with the police.

Furthermore, Salazar flatly declared that never was the enforcement of immigration law relevant to this instance. He revealed that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement actually did not arrest the case of U.S. citizen Mendoza Olmos. He mentioned that deputies checked federal detention records to eliminate the possibility.

The sheriff, however, did not want to share all the information he knew, referring to the investigation's integrity, but he was still not afraid to declare that the teenager might be in certain danger and that there was plenty of evidence to support this.

The investigators are requesting that the people living nearby go through their cameras and footage, particularly the one installed at the door, to check what was going on during Christmas Eve morning. Whoever knows anything is very much welcome to call the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at 210-335-6000 or send an email to missingpersons@bexar.org.
