This win over the Seattle Storm marks 16 consecutive victories for the Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA regular season, tying them with the Phoenix Mercury for the second-longest regular-season winning streak in WNBA history, behind the Los Angeles Sparks' 18-game winning streak in 2001.
With Wilson contributing 6 points and Loyd adding 7, the Las Vegas Aces kicked off the game with a 17-7 lead and never relinquished control. Loyd, who was traded to the Aces this January after spending her first 10 seasons with the Seattle Storm, scored a total of 14 points against her former team.
51% of aces points came from the field while 48% came from the 3-point range. Ace's playmaking was on point as they recorded 23 assists against the storm. Jackie Young put up a versatile performance, contributing 18 points, seven assists, five rebounds and four steals for the aces. Nalyssa Smith added 11 points and nine rebounds, while Dana Evans chipped in 13 points, enhancing the team’s game.
Seattle Storm’s Gabby Williams powered the offence with 16 points, while Diggins added 12 points, and Nneka Ogwumike scored 11. Dominique Malongona delivered a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Despite efforts and a few players scoring double figures, Seattle couldn’t keep up the pace with Las Vegas. Storm struggled defensively in limiting aces from scoring and fell behind once aces established a double-digit lead.
